Simple Steps to Hasten Post-Operative Recovery

Early recovery from major surgery is desirable both from the perspective of patient satisfaction, as well as costeffectiveness. Prolonged hospital stays after surgery can result in increased morbidity, including deep vein thrombosis and nosocomial infections such as pneumonia, and can rapidly increase hospital costs and reduce reimbursement.
