Metastatic L1 root compression presenting as an inguinal pain

Farzad Vosoughi

We report a spinal metastatic patient with an atypical presentation of inguinal pain. He was managed with L1 laminectomy and posterior instrumentation. After the surgery, his pain was significantly relieved. This study underscores the importance of spinal examination to rule out spinal metastasis in those with a documented history of a known tumor.
