CFD Analysis of Different Types of Advanced Rocket Nozzles in Ansys

Yashraj Asthana

The world is enlarging, and science gives them the direction to increase its boundaries. With an increase in technological applications are being used in earth-to-orbit missions. But certainly, there are certain factors involved in these missions, and that is cost and efficiency. Efficiency is certainly a significant factor in for coming space transportation systems. Rocket engines with high efficiency, non-complex engines, and high powered simultaneously are the primary and mandatory needs of the current era. The calculations done theoretically are different from practical experiments but are close to them. So, this project includes testing different types of nozzles in a rocket by calculating their average velocity at the outlet, kinetic energy, temperature, pressure and velocity contour. The designing, testing of these nozzles is done on ansys fluent software for all parametric calculations. And based on the results, a nozzle that is reliable to use in the launcher is selected.
