La pathologie chirurgicale est l'étude du prélèvement de tissus sur des patients vivants pendant une intervention chirurgicale pour les aider à lutter contre les infections de maladies et déterminer les plans de traitement pour les patients. Il comprend également toute la méthode chirurgicale pour l'élimination des agents contagieux des instruments chirurgicaux.
La pathologie chirurgicale est l'espace de suivi le plus important et le plus long pour de nombreux anatomo-pathologistes.
